Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of the Leicester Refurbs website and set out the basis on which we provide quotations and renovation work.
Use of This Website
You may browse and use this website for personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not attempt to interfere with its operation, scrape it at a rate that degrades service for others, or reproduce substantial portions of its content without written permission.
Accuracy of Information
Prices, timelines and guidance published on this site are indicative and provided for general information. Actual costs and schedules depend on a site survey. Nothing on this website constitutes structural, planning or legal advice, and no page forms part of a contract until we issue a written quotation that you accept.
Quotations and Contracts
Every project follows the same contractual sequence.
- We carry out a free site survey and issue a written, itemised quotation.
- Quotations remain valid for 30 days from issue unless stated otherwise.
- A contract exists once you accept the quotation in writing and any agreed deposit clears.
- The accepted quotation and its scope of works take precedence over anything published on this website.
Variations and Unforeseen Works
Changes you request after work begins, and genuinely unforeseen conditions such as concealed structural defects or non-compliant existing services, are priced and agreed in writing as a variation before that work proceeds.
Payments
Payment stages are set out in your quotation. Stage invoices are due within 14 days of issue unless agreed otherwise. We reserve the right to pause works on overdue accounts.
Workmanship and Warranty
We provide a written workmanship warranty on completed renovation work, as stated in your contract. Manufacturer warranties on supplied fixtures, appliances and materials are passed through to you and are governed by the manufacturer's own terms. The warranty does not cover fair wear and tear, damage caused by third parties, or alterations made by others after handover.
Cancellation
Where a contract is agreed away from our business premises, you have a statutory 14-day cancellation period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask us to begin work within that period, you remain liable for the value of work completed and materials ordered up to the point of cancellation.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our liability in relation to any project is limited to the contract value of that project, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Governing Law
These terms and any contract with Leicester Refurbs are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
